Hello Everyone!

Welcome to our telecollaboration project.

This website was created to get to know and learn about each other and your cultures during fun activities.

Just a brief explanation:

The word telecollaboration describes….

  • a virtual exchange between two classes of different countries

  • an interaction/collaboration through different digital tools (google slides, websites, padlet, hot potato)

  • an interaction/collaboration between students in order to go through activities, complete shared tasks and learn about each other and each other’s cultures

  • a project in order to build cultural awareness of young children within the context of school

Our Team and topic - Sports Crew

Students work together on activities which they can only solve by communicating through asking their colleagues questions, explaining and by helping each other. The collaboration takes place via WebEx, where each group is put in a breakout room.

In our case, the students talk about sports and the differences or similarities in each country. In general, we think that sport activities and events bring people together – sharing their passion – and that it would be a great idea to focus on in our project. Of course, sports are universal and mostly similar all over the world, but there are still some regional differences of what kinds of sports are practiced and how different sport events are celebrated. Sports is a topic where the students can exchange their experiences, preferences and find out more about the other countries culture.

We wish all participants great experiences while collaborating and hope you all can benefit from our task!

Goal

Trophäen

Our main goal is it to help students from different countries to gain intercultural communicative competences. Besides that, our telecommunication project aims to teach more knowledge and awareness of other cultures. During the tasks, students are able to improve their speaking, as well as their listening and reading skills. This should be done in a fun and easy way for both - students and teachers - to break down cultural and language barriers. We want students and teachers to brighten their horizon in intercultural interaction, therefore it is our goal to build tolerance and language awareness.
